PRIME TIME Family Reading Time
Families with children aged six to 12-years-old are invited to participate in PRIME TIME, a reading, discussion, and storytelling program. Participants will enjoy refreshments and door prizes while they work as a family to read and discuss featured books’ topics. A storyteller and discussion leader will guide the group through subjects including fairness, greed, courage, dreams, and cleverness. Spaces are limited.

- A free six-week family reading program kicks off to a start next month. Families with children aged six to 12-years-old are invited to participate in PRIME TIME, a reading, discussion, and storytelling program. Participants will enjoy refreshments and door prizes while they work as a family to read and discuss featured books’ topics. A storyteller and discussion leader will guide the group through subjects including fairness, greed, courage, dreams, and cleverness.
- Each meeting will last for 90 minutes and occur in the library’s annex. PRIME TIME is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays beginning September 29, 2010 and will continue for six Thursdays.
- The program is designed to reinforce the role of family, promote bonding, encourage parents and children to read and discuss various topics, and to assist parents and children as they learn how to choose books and become active library patrons. There is no fee to participate. PRIME TIME at Stair is made possible through a grant from the Michigan Humanities Council.
