  • Irish will present “The Journey of the Letters,” a multi-media program which recounts the story of Irish finding an Army trunk full of nearly one thousand letters her father wrote to his friends and family while he served in World War II. Irish found the trunk after her father died in 2006.
  • “A Thousand Letters Home: One WWII Soldier’s Story of War, Love and Life,” is comprised of 320 of these poignant letters and 104 corresponding photographs.
  • Hardcover and softcover copies of “A Thousand Letters Home” will be available for purchase and signing.
  • Irish was the featured speaker at more than 60 events in five states in 2012, and appeared on ABC News, NPR, The National Defense, Veterans Radio, and Military Author Radio. The story of the “journey of the letters” has been reported in newspapers throughout the country.
